Consultations:
We prefer to meet with potential clients in person (or Zoom or some other video chat due to COVID), and will not answer legal questions over the phone unless you are a current client. We would be happy to set up a consultation with you where we can sit down, review your situation, documents, and discuss possible options. Typically a consultation lasts up to an hour, bring any related paperwork you may have for my review, copies of court document, birth certificates, or anything else related. (If you bring something we don't need to review so what, if you leave it on your dining room table as we need it.... well that's a different story.) This information helps me in giving you an accurate assessment of your situation. At the end of the consultation if you have a legal issue we can assist with we will quote you the requested retainer and how our hourly billing structure works to get started on your case.
We have made exceptions for potential clients who are out of the local area and prefer a telephone consult or other electronic means. Please note there is a charge for consultations as our time, knowledge and expertise are our commodity. Please call the office to discuss and set up your consultation (865) 774-1312.
